01Hamsa Home Care service
Personal Care
Hands-on help, given with care.
Personal care is the steady, hands-on help that keeps people comfortable, clean, and confident at home. Our caregivers handle the everyday tasks that have become difficult — bathing, dressing, transferring in and out of bed — with the patience and discretion they deserve.
Every personal care plan is built around the person, not the task list. We learn how someone likes their morning to go, what makes a shower feel safe, and which little routines are non-negotiable. Then we show up the same way, every visit.

Common questions
About our personal care service.
What exactly does personal care include?
Personal care covers the hands-on tasks of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, light medication reminders, and supervised mobility. We tailor the visit length to what you need: a short morning routine, a full day, or anything in between.
Are your caregivers trained for personal care tasks?
Yes. Every Hamsa caregiver completes paid orientation in personal care techniques, transfer safety, infection control, and fall prevention. Many are also certified HHAs or CNAs. We match the caregiver's experience to the client's needs.
Will the same caregiver come each visit?
That's our standard practice. Consistency makes personal care feel safer and more dignified, so we work hard to keep the same caregiver returning week after week — with a known backup who has already met the client for vacations and sick days.
How many hours of personal care do most clients need?
It varies. Some clients book a one-hour morning visit for bathing and dressing. Others need three to six hours daily, or full-day coverage. We'll talk through your situation on the first call and recommend honestly — even if that means fewer hours than you expected.
